An accent usually indicates where a person is from. It is a large part of one's identity and something that many are proud of and even gives others a sense of comfort. Despite this, there are times, when it can affect one's ability to advance, especially in the professional world. Accent modification is a workshop to assist a person in learning how to use a neutral, Standard American accent. This is not a workshop to eliminate your accent, but it is a workshop to provide you with the tools to help you feel comfortable while communicating with others.
